Safe, Automated Chemical Transfer

DGM is proud to introduce the DGMATIC Repour System — our automated solution for chemical repour and re-drumming. Using cutting-edge technology, the DGMATIC allows our team to precisely measure out the exact amount of liquid being repoured, limiting the risk of exposure.

How DGMATIC Works

The DGMATIC has a special ventilation system that keeps harmful vapors out of the air, along with a dedicated containment platform. Every motor on the conveyor system runs on a high-powered pneumatic air system, removing any chance of ignition or spark. A nitrogen blanket prevents chemical alteration of the product, along with moisture-related equipment damage or combustion.

Repour Capacity and Capabilities

The DGMATIC can repour hazardous liquid from large tankers holding up to 11,000 gallons down to IBCs, drums, or one liter bottles, with no direct human contact with the hazardous material. This minimizes the risk of a spill and satisfies QHSE requirements. DGM also works with IBC totes as part of this process, whether your shipment is moving into a tote or out of one.

Repour vs. Redrum

The DGMATIC Repour System is built specifically for liquid repour and redrumming work.

  • Repour: moving a liquid or hazardous material from a damaged drum or large tote into new, certified containers, often to meet shipping rules or switch to a different mode of transport like air freight.
  • Redrum: transferring a chemical out of its current container into a fresh, compliant drum or barrel, typically because the original is damaged, leaking, or no longer meets safety standards.

Decanting and rebagging are related processes DGM also supports as part of our broader chemical packing services.

Materials We Handle

The DGMATIC is built to handle a wide range of hazardous liquids, including:

  • Flammable liquids like gasoline and fuels
  • Corrosive liquids like sulfuric and hydrochloric acid
  • Volatile solvents like acetone
  • Toxic liquids like liquid pesticides

When Repouring Is Needed

Chemicals are rarely repoured for transport unless the original container is damaged, unsafe, or too large. Common situations include:

  • Your shipment can only move in a specific quantity or size due to air, ocean, or trucking regulations
  • The original container is leaking or cracked
  • Field teams need smaller sample sizes instead of full drums
  • The product needs to move into an approved container rated for that exact chemical

Repouring without the right equipment and controls increases the risk of spills, incorrect labeling, container reactions, and non-compliance with DOT packaging rules. This work calls for controlled conditions and trained specialists, not a workaround.
